Job Description

The material handling equipment (MHE) operator / forklift operator / warehouse assistant is responsible for sorting, routing and loading cargo to and from various warehousing or storage locations.

Systematic and mechanically-inclined, he/she is also responsible for upholding quality standard, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of material-handling equipment and may also be required to support general warehouse operations. He is expected work with internal and external stakeholders to accomplish his work.

PERFORM WAREHOUSING TASKS

1) Perform loading, unloading and arranging of warehouse cargo and items.

2) Perform moving of warehouse cargo and items.

3) Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets according to storage plans.

4) Identify operational shortfall, maintenance or repair needs.

5) Report warehousing issues in a timely manner.

6) Perform warehouse operation in accordance with 5s.

PERFORM CARGO AND / OR MATERIAL HANDLING AND DELIVERY TASKS

1) Perform container stuffing and unstuffing operations.

2) Perform cargo or material-handling security procedures.

3) Support the department in incident or crisis management initiatives.

4) Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage time and temperature sensitive cargo.

5) Perform cargo consolidation activities.

6) Perform cross docking operations and shipment consolidation.

7) Perform transshipment and transloading operations.

8) Assist in application of methods and techniques to manage dangerous goods.

Requirement

1) Candidate must possess at least Secondary in Logistic or Transportation or equivalent

2) Fork lift license

3) Able to perform OT and when request

4) Able to work in Tuas Area

5) Team Player, positive and willing to learn attitude
